Great to meet you!

When anxiety, stress, or relationship challenges begin taking up more space in your life, you may find yourself constantly overthinking, putting your own needs aside, or struggling to feel understood by the people closest to you. Major life changes can make that even harder, especially when you are trying to adjust while still keeping everything else together. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress management, maternal mental health concerns, women’s issues, and identity issues. These experiences can also overlap with depression, family concerns, relationship difficulties, pregnancy or postpartum challenges, or navigating a significant life transition. Therapy can give you a place to focus on yourself without feeling like you need to have everything figured out first. Together, we can better understand what you need, strengthen your connection with yourself and others, and help you move through this season of life with greater clarity and confidence.

My approach to therapy

Our work will make room for both the person you are and the relationships, responsibilities, identities, and experiences that have shaped you. We’ll explore how anxiety, stress management, maternal mental health concerns, women’s issues, and identity issues may be affecting your emotional wellbeing and the way you experience yourself and your relationships. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize patterns in thoughts and behaviors that contribute to distress and practice healthier ways of responding, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy to help you notice difficult thoughts and emotions without immediately becoming overwhelmed by them, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to build practical skills for managing emotions, tolerating stressful moments, and communicating more effectively. Emotion Focused Therapy can help you better understand and work through the emotions underneath recurring patterns, while Solution Focused Brief Therapy can help us identify your strengths and translate the changes you want into practical steps forward. Our sessions will be collaborative, supportive, and grounded in what matters to you rather than expecting you to fit into a predetermined version of therapy.

What you can expect from me

You do not have to know exactly where to begin or have the right words for everything you are experiencing. During our first few sessions, we will spend time getting to know you, understanding what has been weighing on you, and identifying what you hope will feel different. Together, we will create goals that feel meaningful and realistic while deciding what would be most helpful to focus on first. You can expect me to bring warmth, empathy, and genuine curiosity to our work while creating a space where you can be honest about what you need without fear of judgment. Progress may look like feeling less consumed by anxiety, managing stress with greater confidence, feeling more like yourself during pregnancy or postpartum changes, communicating more openly in your relationships, or developing a stronger sense of who you are and what you want. We will continue checking in on your goals and shape our work around what helps you feel more supported, confident, and connected to yourself.
