Great to meet you!

I enjoy working with both men and women, including teens and adults and have extensive experience providing mental health treatment to individuals with a wide range of clinical needs. I hold a Doctorate in Social Work and have spent much of my career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, where I led the mental health program at Butner and provided therapy and treatment planning for individuals living with serious mental illness.

My experience has taught me the importance of meeting people where they are, understanding the full context of their experiences, and providing practical, individualized support. I bring a steady, nonjudgmental approach to therapy and strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being honest about what they are experiencing and what they would like to change.

My approach to therapy

I bring a practical, client-focused approach to therapy that is grounded in thoughtful assessment and collaborative treatment planning. I believe it is important to take the time to understand the full picture of what you are experiencing so that our work together can be intentional, personalized, and focused on the areas that matter most to you.

My experience working with complex clinical needs has made me comfortable supporting individuals with serious mental health concerns and navigating challenges that may feel difficult or overwhelming. I value meaningful, engaged clinical work and strive to balance compassionate support with practical strategies that help clients make progress.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and developing a clear understanding of what brings you to therapy. We’ll discuss your current concerns, relevant personal and mental health history, and the goals you hope to work toward. This gives me an opportunity to understand your experiences more fully and determine how I can best support you.

From there, we’ll work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs, strengths, and priorities. I welcome your questions and input throughout the process, as I believe you should have an active role in shaping your care. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clear sense of how we can work together toward meaningful progress.
