Great to meet you!

My name is Brandon and I'm a licensed clinical professional counselor. I have been doing therapy for over 15 years. I have a lot of experience working with individuals and couples who suffer from a wide range of issues from daily/general stress to communication issues to depression, anxiety and addiction.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a client centered approach in session. This is where I meet you where you are at and we become a team accomplishing goals together. I provide unconditional positive regard and empathy along with this process.

Depending on what we are discussing/processing I may utilize a cognitive/dialectical behavioral approach(CBT/DBT) or a psychodynamic approach.

CBT /DBT gives us the ability to think about our thinking and replacing self defeating thoughts with rational counter statements. We also review coping skills to manage our triggers/stressors.

With psychodynamic psychotherapy this is gives us the ability to gain more insight, clarity and perspective. A lot of this work involves exploring family of origin issues and our defenses and sometimes dreams.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to feel safe. Clients can also expect me to be on their side and to feel understood. Clients can also expect to learn techniques, coping skills and ways to communicate to improve their ability to work through challenging situations.
