Great to meet you!

Hi there! I see you’ve found my little corner of Headway! I’m happy you’re here. So, let me tell you a little about myself to see if we’re a good fit for each other. I currently have over 8 years of experience in the counseling field among multiple settings (University/Academic, Inpatient, PHP/IOP, and Outpatient). Each setting has taught me exponentially, and has given me some excellent tools to help you in the best way I possibly can. Great for us both, right? I have extensive experience working with Adult and Adolescent clients, and am currently working via Telehealth full time. I have experience with treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, poor self worth/self image, addiction/substance abuse, relationship based complications/attachment wounds, trauma, improving social skills, communicating emotions, and generally identifying and breaking unhealthy patterns in your daily life. The entire goal is to build a strong relationship between us through unwavering and unconditional support. Once we have that solid foundation, we work through what you’re needing to work through. I’m a huge believer that you are the master of your universe, and that you have the power to overcome whatever life throws at you. I’m here to support you in that process by giving you the needed tools to create a healthier version of you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is very fluid and organic. I find that things come up when they’re meant to, and when you’re ready to effectively contend with it. I’m a very “go with the flow” type of clinician. I will absolutely keep your goals in the forefront, but have the wisdom and acceptance that we will get there when we’re ready to get there. I really enjoy learning about you and what your interests are. I typically find a way to integrate your interests into my therapeutic approach to make it more understandable and meaningful to you. I’ve been told I’m pretty good at creating illustrations or metaphors to help visualize a concept in a more understandable way. I’m a big believer in meeting you where you’re at in a supportive and compassionate manner. I love watching my clients grow into the version of themselves they are working toward. I’m just happy and honored to be part of that journey.

What you can expect from me

I hope it’s an informative, warm, and generally helpful experience! I want you to feel like you’re deserving of the good things life has to offer. I hope I can help empower you in the way you’re needing, and I hope the newfound power will help you manage what you’re currently going through. This isn’t an easy process, but definitely a worthwhile investment to create a higher possibility of better things for you now and in the future. I know taking the first step is the most difficult, but I believe in you!
