Great to meet you!

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing. I have over two years of experience as a provider, a decade of nursing experience, and two decades of experience as a first responder in a rural area. Having a close family member with a chronic mental illness created my passion for this field, as I witnessed firsthand the voids in care and resources.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Transparency, understanding, and client goals are priorities in my approach to providing the best mental health care possible. Rapport and trust are integral to the foundation of the client-provider working relationship. I strive to provide patient-centered care, meaning we work together to evaluate symptoms and potential treatment plans with your goals and concerns as a guide. In treatment planning, I provide education, encourage questions, and continually assess risk versus benefit.

What you can expect from our first session

I aim for clients to feel heard, unjudged, hopeful, and unpressured. I seek to engage clients actively in their care and goals, understanding that if life throws curveballs, I will adapt with you. I am patient in treatment planning and will give you time to consider the options when needed. With years of nursing experience, I work to meet at your level, using clear language and techniques to avoid confusing you with medical terminology.
