Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Brandy. I'm so glad you're here. I'm a trauma-informed LPC and the founder of Dose of Soul Therapy, working with individuals and couples. Most of the people I sit with are the dependable ones, the planner, the fixer, the one everyone calls when things fall apart. From the outside, life looks handled, but underneath you may be running on empty or feeling far from your own life. You don't need a diagnosis or a breakdown to deserve support. Reaching out isn't a sign you've fallen apart. It's a sign you're paying attention. As a Black therapist serving BIPOC communities, I offer a space where you don't have to explain or code-switch.

My approach to therapy

My approach blends clinical expertise with genuine connection. I'm trauma-informed and culturally sensitive, and my style is warm, empowering, and honest. I want therapy to feel normal, human, and approachable, never something you have to brace for. I'll still challenge you gently, because real change takes more than someone nodding along. I use evidence-based tools like EMDR, CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and ACT, along with mindfulness and grounding practices, to support individuals and couples with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity, and relationship strain. We'll move at your pace toward healing that feels authentic and lasts.

What you can expect from me

You don't need the right words or a clear reason for coming in, just a willingness to set things down. Our first session is a low-pressure conversation. I'll learn what's been weighing on you and what you'd like to feel different, and we'll talk through a plan that fits your pace.
