Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m Brandy Weitzel, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and the founder of Adret Counseling. I have had the privilege of serving clients across Texas for over 12 years. I am committed to helping individuals, couples, and families find direction, resilience, and emotional well-being through supportive and effective therapy.

My goal is to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where you can explore what matters most, discover your strengths, and work toward lasting change that aligns with your values and goals. Therapy is a journey of partnership, wherever you are in life’s unfolding story, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

At Adret Counseling, I offer telehealth services, making it easier for you to access care that fits your schedule and lifestyle. If you’re ready to take that first step toward healing and growth, I’m here to support you with compassion, clinical expertise, and genuine care.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. CBT helps you identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs that contribute to emotional distress, while Solution-Focused Therapy helps you clarify goals and build practical strategies for creating meaningful change in your life.

I also warmly integrate faith-based therapy for clients who want to incorporate their spirituality into the healing process. This means that if your faith is important to you, we can explore how your beliefs can support your growth, strength, and overall well-being in ways that feel respectful, authentic, and empowering.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, my priority is to help you feel safe, heard, and comfortable. We’ll begin by talking about what brought you to counseling, what feels challenging right now, and what you hope to work on together. Most of the time is spent getting to know one another, understanding your background, and exploring your goals so we can build a solid foundation for your therapy journey. This visit is about connection and clarity, not diving deeply into everything all at once.

I’ll also explain my therapeutic approach, including how I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help you identify and shift unhelpful patterns, build practical coping skills, and focus on meaningful growth. If you want to include faith in your healing process, I’ll talk with you about how we can respectfully integrate your spirituality into treatment.

We’ll talk about goals together and start to outline what progress might look like for you. You’ll have space to ask questions about therapy, how I work, and what to expect going forward. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling understood, supported, and clear about the next steps toward your goals.
