Great to meet you!

Reaching out for therapy can feel difficult, especially when you have been trying to carry everything on your own. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where children ages 6+, teens, adults, and families can feel heard, understood, and respected.

My name is Brandyn Baham, LCSW, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Louisiana. I earned my Master’s Degree from Our Lady of the Lake University, my Bachelor’s Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University, and my Associate Degree from Northshore Technical Community College. With over seven years of experience, I have worked with at-risk youth, young adults, and individuals facing mental health, behavioral, and addiction-related challenges.

I support clients dealing with anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, stress, low self-worth, school concerns, family conflict, and life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and practical. As a Trust-Based Relational Intervention Practitioner, I believe clients are more than the challenges they are facing, and together we can work toward healing, growth, and healthier ways to cope.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is supportive, collaborative, and practical. I believe clients are the experts of their own lives, and my role is to walk alongside them as they better understand their emotions, experiences, relationships, and goals.

I use a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, to help clients recognize patterns, build healthy coping skills, and work toward meaningful change. When working with children, I may also use play therapy techniques and developmentally appropriate interventions to help them express emotions in a safe and natural way.

My goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported as they move toward healing, growth, and resilience.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space to talk about what brought them to therapy. We will spend time getting to know each other, discussing current concerns, exploring goals, and identifying what support may be most helpful.

I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, so I try to move at a pace that feels safe and respectful. My goal is for clients to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and more hopeful about the next steps.
