I start at a pace that is comfortable for you. I take time to know you and learn about your challenges. I am skilled at using EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, attachment theory, cognitive processing therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
I understand how intimidating therapy can be, so creating a relationship with my clients is the most important thing. I prefer to learn what communication style works best for you as opposed to having a one size fits all. I want to come across as a real human and not just the stereotypical therapist who just nods their head.
I will take the time to get to know you and get a better idea of how your current stressors are impacting your well-being. My goal is to understand what works best for you and what does not work. I am always curious to know what kind of therapist you are looking for and what your expectations are of me.
