Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and 10 years of experience in the mental health field.

Maybe you’ve spent years trying to understand yourself. You know where your patterns come from. You’ve reflected on your childhood and relationships, and you may have even tried therapy before. Somehow, knowing why you feel this way hasn’t been enough to change it. You may find yourself overthinking, feeling disconnected or deeply unhappy, repeating painful relationship patterns, or struggling to see a way forward. I support clients who want to break generational cycles, heal attachment wounds, and build a life that feels more authentic and meaningful.

My approach to therapy

My background includes counseling, crisis intervention, and victim advocacy, with advanced training in EMDR and complex trauma. I specialize in complex trauma, persistent and severe depression, attachment wounds, and body dysmorphia. I also work with anxiety, OCD, relationship concerns, and questions around meaning and identity.

Many of my clients have survived experiences that shaped how they learned to connect with others and see themselves. I strive to offer an affirming space where you can show up as your whole self without fear of judgment. I welcome LGBTQIA+ and gender-diverse clients, and I am also affirming of polyamory and consensual non-monogamy.

My style is warm, validating, and nonjudgmental; but I’m also direct. You’re in the driver’s seat. I’ll follow what matters to you while also gently pointing out patterns, challenging you when it may be helpful, and encouraging you when something difficult feels important to explore.

I also believe mental health is connected to the rest of our lives. When relevant, we can consider your relationships, health, social support, identity, values, meaning, and spirituality. I don’t believe healing means reaching a finish line where you never struggle again. Instead, our work can help you develop a different relationship with painful thoughts, emotions, and experiences so that you can still build a meaningful life even when life is imperfect.

What you can expect from me

I don’t believe there is one “right” way to do therapy. I take an eclectic, holistic approach and tailor our work to you rather than forcing you into one model. Depending on your needs, I may draw from EMDR, Flash Technique, DBT, IFS, ERP, ACT, CBT, expressive arts, and The Gottman Method.

Insight matters, but understanding why you feel or behave a certain way isn’t always enough to change it. Our work may involve processing painful memories, practicing new skills, exploring patterns, or learning directly through experience. I want therapy to help you create change both in and outside of our sessions.

I bring a calm, warm, and nonjudgmental presence to therapy. There’s no pressure to tell your whole story at once or have perfectly defined goals. We’ll start wherever you are, move at a pace that feels comfortable, and begin figuring out where you’d like to go together.
