Great to meet you!

Clients should know that I take a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy, focusing on creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where they can speak openly. I use evidence-based, trauma-informed practices and tailor treatment to each person’s needs and goals rather than a one-size-fits-all method. I tend to be direct but supportive, helping clients better understand patterns in thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors.

I also emphasize practical coping skills alongside deeper emotional insight so clients can make meaningful changes in daily life. My goal is to help clients feel heard, gain clarity, and build tools they can use outside of sessions.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is integrative, client-centered, and trauma-informed. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed skills, EMDR, and strengths-based interventions, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals.

I focus on helping clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relational patterns, while also supporting nervous system regulation and emotional processing when working through trauma. EMDR is used to help clients process distressing experiences in a structured and evidence-based way when clinically appropriate.

I aim to create a collaborative, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring difficult material at a pace that feels manageable. Therapy with me balances insight-oriented work with practical coping strategies to support meaningful, sustainable change in daily life.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, the focus is on completing an initial clinical intake and gaining a clear understanding of current concerns, symptoms, and relevant history. I will ask questions about presenting issues, background information, and goals for therapy to help guide treatment planning.

We will begin identifying treatment priorities and collaboratively developing initial goals. This session also includes review of informed consent, confidentiality, and expectations for ongoing therapy.

My priority is to create a safe, structured, and supportive environment where clients can share at their own pace. The first session is primarily focused on assessment and rapport-building rather than in-depth processing.

Clients can expect a professional, organized intake process that establishes the foundation for a clear and individualized treatment plan moving forward.
