Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Bree. I consider myself lucky to be in a position to support people as they navigate the often absurd, messy, and unpredictable situations life throws our way. I bring warmth, authenticity, and respect for every person's story. I care deeply about honoring your lived experience and the bigger picture of the world you move through.

I approach all experiences with curiosity and respect, including those that are unusual, feel out of the ordinary, spiritual, or hard to explain. My goal is to help you make sense of your experiences in a way that is authentic and empowering, without judgment or jumping to conclusions or diagnoses. I believe it’s important to look at the whole picture and never rush to label or define what you’re going through.

I'm also trained in Restorative Justice practices, and can offer support to anyone who’s been impacted by harm-whether you’ve experienced it, caused it, or both. In addition, if you’re interested in exploring Restorative Dialogue, or are already engaged in the process, I can support you every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

My style is warm, authentic, and comforting, with a side of humor and honesty. I believe therapy should feel just as real and human as life does.

I use a flexible, client-centered approach, blending EMDR, IFS-informed parts work, CBT, DBT, Harm Reduction, and motivational interviewing. There’s no one-size-fits-all here; you and I will tailor our work to your unique needs and pace. My goal is always to find what feels most helpful and comfortable for you.

If you’re looking for a more structured approach for working through a specific traumatic event, I offer traditional EMDR as well. I take a relatively slow and steady approach to therapy, and that’s especially true with EMDR-we don’t rush into reprocessing traumatic memories. Instead, we’ll spend plenty of time building trust, learning coping skills, and making sure you feel safe and prepared before starting any memory work. This careful preparation is key to making EMDR effective and not overwhelming.

I work collaboratively to help you understand and shift patterns that may be holding you back, and I value open feedback as part of our true partnership. My aim is to create a space where your voice is heard, your choices are respected, and your path is honored. If we get into it and realize that this is not the right fit for whatever reason, I’m happy to help you find a fit that works better for you because you deserve to get what you want and need out of therapy.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and empowered. I’m here to hold up a mirror so you can see yourself and your experiences from new angles, helping you notice strengths and patterns you might not have seen before. My hope is that you’ll gain practical tools, greater self-understanding, and a sense of resilience and post-traumatic growth. I want you to feel comfortable bringing your whole self to therapy - no need to filter or hold back. Above all, you’ll know you have a partner in your healing journey, and that your feedback and preferences truly matter.
