Great to meet you!

College. Your first “real” job. Relationships. Family. Money. Your future. Your identity. There’s a lot to figure out and sometimes it can feel like everyone else received a roadmap that you somehow missed. If you are feeling like this, let’s chat.

My approach to therapy

  • Hi, and welcome! I'm Brenda, a bilingual licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania. I work with young adults who are navigating these challenges and trying to build a life that feels meaningful and authentic. I believe therapy should feel like a collaborative, supportive space where you can show up as your whole self, without judgement or the pressure to have all the answers.
  • In our sessions, we start where you are and not where anyone thinks you should be. Our work will focus on understanding your emotions, developing healthier coping strategies, building confidence, improving relationships, managing stress and challenging the thoughts and expectations that may be keeping you stuck. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help us look at patterns that drive how you feel and act and together we find ways to shift what is not working.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a conversation. I will ask what brought you to therapy and what you are hoping for. Remember that you are allowed to be a work in progress, to not have it all figured out, and you don’t have to figure it out alone. Sometimes therapy is simply about having someone in your corner while you figure out what comes next. By the end of the session, you will have a clear sense of what we might work on together and what it feels like to work with me and to have me in your corner.
