Great to meet you!

I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma-related disorders, and behavioral challenges in children, teens, and adults. My approach integrates CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and attachment-focused therapy to help clients build practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 12 years of clinical experience, including 4 years as a licensed counselor in behavioral health settings. I support individuals and families navigating life transitions, chronic stress, and complex emotional challenges, helping them move toward greater confidence and resilience.

I have extensive experience working with foster and adoptive families, focusing on attachment, trauma, parenting stress, and family transitions. My background within the Department of Child Services (DCS), juvenile detention, and family court systems allows me to guide families through both the emotional and procedural aspects of these environments with clarity and confidence.

I strive to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered. My approach is flexible and tailored to each client’s unique needs, ensuring therapy is both practical and impactful.

If you do not see a time that fits your schedule, please reach out—I will do my best to accommodate your needs.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is client-centered, collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I focus on helping clients develop insight, build on their strengths, and apply practical strategies that support real, lasting change. Together, we work to identify patterns, navigate challenges, and create achievable steps forward.

I strive to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment where children, teens, adults, and families feel heard, respected, and empowered. My work emphasizes building resilience, strengthening relationships, and increasing confidence in managing life’s challenges, while meeting each client where they are in their growth process.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we will focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We will talk about your current concerns, symptoms you may be experiencing, and any important background or life experiences that help provide context for what you are going through.

We will also review your personal history, including past mental health experiences, family or relationship dynamics, and any previous counseling or supports you may have had. Just as importantly, we will identify your strengths, supports, and goals so we can build a plan that works for you.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions about the therapy process and discuss what you hope to gain from counseling. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive, and non-judgmental space where we can begin developing a plan together to help you move toward meaningful and lasting change.
