Great to meet you!

Hi! Through my online practice, I offer psychotherapy to adults and adolescents as well as psychodiagnostic assessment services to adults, adolescents and children. In addition to providing psychotherapy for a variety of conditions (e.g. depression, anxiety, relationship issues, sexual issues, stress, loss, adjustment, etc.), I also have extensive experience in psychodiagnostic assessment including intellectual, emotional, personality, developmental (including Autism), and forensics. I have been in the field of psychology for over 20 years and licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in California for the past 14 years. I received my Masters and my Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from the oldest private psychology school in California – The California School of Professional Psychology. I am the Co-Founder of Relationship Workout, LLC, am a published author in my field, have worked as adjunct faculty, have sat on Superior Court appointment panels, and have taught continuing education webinars and seminars for the California Psychological Association and the Zur Institute. I have also worked for over 10 years within the regional center system. In my free time, I love to cook, bake, craft, attend sporting events, enjoy live music and the theater, dance, travel and spend time with my family.

My approach to therapy

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most valuable part of therapy. I seek to connect to each person where they are in life and realize together where they want to go. My approach to every patient and situation requires me to select the evidenced-based interventions that best meet the patient in front of me. Utilizing various therapeutic approaches and modalities allows me to customize to your specific needs and goals. My goal is to get you to where you want to be. I take a proactive approach in helping you reduce what is not working, offering tools and practical skills that have been shown to make life more manageable and enjoyable.

What you can expect from me

You can expect me to show up in an authentic, empathic, compassionate, interactive and proactive way within a private and confidential space that welcomes sharing and reflection on what matters most to you. My goal is that my clients leave feeling heard by someone that is there for them. I offer the option of “homework” because I find it produces the best results and I feel that it is the best way for our session to continue until we meet again. Ideally, you leave our meetings reflecting on our sessions afterwards, utilizing new tools, and practicing new skills. Your approach to what we do together is just as important, if not more important, than mine.
