My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and holistic. I believe each person already carries an inner wisdom and capacity for healing, and therapy is a way of uncovering and strengthening that. I draw from my training in somatic psychology, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, DBT, and trauma-informed practices to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs.

In our work together, I focus on creating a safe and supportive space where clients can explore challenges at their own pace. I integrate body-based awareness, emotional processing, and practical skills so that growth is not just insight-based, but also felt and lived.

I also honor the ways healing can open doors to deeper meaning, connection, and wholeness—whether experienced through relationships, creativity, nature, or spiritual development. For some clients, this includes transpersonal exploration as part of their therapeutic journey.

My goal is to help people move from patterns of survival to experiences of connection, resilience, and choice—inviting both personal transformation and, when desired, a sense of deeper alignment with self and spirit.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about creating a safe and welcoming space where you can begin to share what brings you to therapy. I’ll invite you to talk about your goals, concerns, and hopes, while also asking questions that help me understand your history and current situation. We’ll also discuss what approaches might best support your needs, drawing from my background in somatic, trauma-informed, and evidence-based therapies.

You can expect me to listen with curiosity and respect, and to move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Some clients find it helpful to begin with immediate tools for grounding or stress relief, while others prefer to start by exploring their story and building trust in the process.

By the end of the first session, you’ll have a sense of what it’s like to work together, and we’ll clarify your next steps—whether that means setting initial goals, identifying priorities, or simply beginning to create space for healing and self-discovery.
