Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m Dr. Brenda Pinkerman, a licensed psychologist who treats a wide range of mental and behavioral health concern. I work with clients to build self-understanding, develop healthier thinking patterns, and strengthen coping skills that support lasting change. My areas of focus include mood disorders, trauma and PTSD, anxiety and OCD, as well as wellness concerns such as insomnia, chronic pain, stress management, and lifestyle adjustment.

My approach to therapy

I use a mind–body approach that looks beyond symptoms alone, considering your physical, emotional, and social well-being to guide individualized care. My style is eclectic, allowing me to tailor treatment to your unique needs while drawing from a range of effective approaches. I place particular emphasis on cognitive-behavioral and client-centered therapies to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Throughout our work, I strive to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I will take time to understand your current concerns and what has been most challenging for you. I’ll also get to know you as a whole person, including your background, strengths, and the factors that may be influencing your well-being. Together, we will begin identifying what you would like to change or improve and develop some initial treatment goals. My goal is to create a comfortable, collaborative space where you feel heard, understood, and supported from the very beginning.
