Great to meet you!

My name is Brenda and I am a multicultural, social justice-oriented and trauma-informed psychotherapist, educator, immigrant, and New Yorker.

With over a decade of experience, my specialties include those listed above and below, as well as reducing the effects of burnout, vicarious trauma, and immigration and acculturation challenges.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is tailored to each person’s needs and personality, but warmth, empathy, and genuine interest in your well-being, are the pillars of my practice. I provide active and judgement-free feedback. Humor is always welcome.

I strive to guide a collaborative journey that allows us to find the version of you that you feel most comfortable with and proud of, a version through which you can thrive.

What you can expect from me

Using a gentle yet direct approach, my goal is to help you create meaningful and long-lasting change at a pace that feels right for you, whether it’s related to life-long wounds, more current challenges, or even if you just want to feel better/happier and don’t know where to start. Our first session will be the beginning of that journey.

I'm passionate about what I do and love having the privilege of being a therapist. Let's see if we are a good fit—reach out today!
