Brenda is offering her services as a licensed professional counselor (LPC), in additional to be a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She received her Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University with Honors of Distinction. Her Bachelor Degree in Psychology was awarded from Stockton University, and also has postgraduate education as a Certified Addiction Specialist.
Brenda credits the client as the expert of their own life and engages with them in a collaborative effort to identify their goals. She uses a Solution Focused & Reality based approach which assists clients in identifying their strengths, thus helping them understand their values and perspectives in combined effort to gain insight on improving their lives. By working together, an individualized plan is developed to help clients effectively achieve their goals and overcome future challenges.
I provide a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I offer honest and constructive feedback to help clients gain new insights and perspectives on their challenges.
