Great to meet you!

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. I specialize in working with women ages 15+ navigating the complexities of trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, relationship issues, identity, and life changes. Whether you're struggling with overwhelming emotions, relationship patterns that feel stuck, or a deep sense of disconnection, I offer a space where healing and change are possible.

For teens, I provide a safe and supportive environment to explore identity, manage stress, and develop coping skills. For women, I offer space to process life transitions, relational challenges, and past experiences that continue to impact the present.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in evidenced-based practices. I draw from trauma-informed modalities, attachment theory, and mindfulness-based therapies to help you build emotional resilience, strengthen your sense of self, and create healthier relationships. You have a unique and individual story that deserves an individual approach. Once we begin to work together, we’ll act as partners in your therapeutic journey looking at your whole self. It’s important to me that we communicate openly and you feel respected in our relationship. I’ll be here to listen to you, explore with you, challenge you, and support you.

What you can expect from me

I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and being authentic and vulnerable while also feeling secure. During our introductory session, you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We'll work together in the following sessions to achieve your goals. Please email brenda@bktcounseling to schedule a consultation call if calendar shows no availability within 1 week.
