Great to meet you!

What exactly is addiction? Does it only apply to substance abuse, or does it overlap with behavioral processes like over eating, compulsive spending, or obsessively watching pornography? Can someone become addicted to an idea? To a feeling? To another person? I believe the answer is yes, and I believe all addictions can be treated in the same way. If you have found yourself engaged in any pattern of behavior that's causing a problem, but no matter how hard you try, you can't seem to change - I might be the right therapist for you.

My approach to therapy

My first priority is to create a safe enough space for you to talk to me without fear of being judged. I have an integrative approach to therapy that is tailored to your unique needs and goals, and includes somatic grounding, meditation, and mindfulness training along with traditional therapeutic modalities like psychodynamics, CBT, and EMDR.
