Great to meet you!

I hold a Master of Education in Counselor Education and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for more than five years. I am also currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision, continuing to grow my knowledge and skills in the counseling profession.

Throughout my professional experience, I have worked with individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including severe mental illness, and have recognized the importance of individualized therapy and compassionate support. I am a warm, caring, and supportive therapist who believes every individual has strengths and the ability to grow. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and respected.

My goal is to meet each client where they are, understand their unique needs, and work collaboratively with them to develop coping skills, build confidence, and move toward improved emotional well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach is primarily grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while incorporating person-centered and supportive approaches. Depending on each client's individual needs and goals, I may also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Cognitive Behavioral Family Therapy.

I believe therapy should be collaborative, individualized, and focused on helping clients develop a deeper understanding of their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Together, we can explore challenges, build effective coping skills, practice mindfulness and acceptance, and identify practical strategies that support meaningful and lasting change.

My goal is to create a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship where clients feel empowered to better understand themselves, work through challenges, and move toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and open-minded environment where they have the opportunity to share their story at their own pace. During our first session, I will listen without judgment, learn about what brings you to therapy, and begin understanding your goals and needs. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, supported, and encouraged about the possibility of feeling better and creating meaningful change.
