Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed therapist who works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress, and grief. My approach is structured, collaborative, and practical, with an emphasis on helping clients understand what’s driving their distress and learn effective ways to manage it.

Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck in cycles of worry or rumination, emotionally drained, or strained in their relationships. Others are navigating significant stressors—such as work pressure, family conflict, loss, or major life changes—and want support that is both emotionally steady and solution-focused. I aim to create a calm, nonjudgmental space where we can slow things down, make sense of patterns, and work toward meaningful improvement.

I primarily use evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), helping clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, regulate emotional and physiological stress responses, and take concrete steps toward feeling better. I also integrate attachment-informed and insight-oriented perspectives when helpful, particularly in work related to relationships and grief.

Clients often describe my style as calm, direct, and thoughtful. I focus on clarity and collaboration, and I try to explain the therapy process in a way that helps clients feel informed and empowered rather than overwhelmed or pathologized. Therapy with me is goal-oriented, while still allowing space to process emotions and experiences at a manageable pace.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and deeply human. I work with clients to understand not just what they’re struggling with, but why certain patterns, thoughts, and emotional reactions developed in the first place. Therapy is a space where we slow things down, make sense of what’s happening internally, and build skills that help you respond differently—rather than feeling stuck on autopilot.

I primarily use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also drawing from psychodynamic and person-centered perspectives when helpful. This means we focus both on concrete tools for managing anxiety, stress, and mood, and on deeper insight into relationships, self-esteem, and long-standing emotional patterns.

Above all, I aim to create a thoughtful, non-judgmental environment where you feel understood, respected, and actively involved in your own growth. Therapy isn’t about fixing you—it’s about helping you feel more grounded, flexible, and confident in how you navigate your life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, what feels most important to address right now, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you’re ready to.

I’ll ask thoughtful questions to help us begin making sense of patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and stressors. If it’s helpful, we may also start identifying early goals or practical strategies you can begin using right away.

Most clients leave the first session feeling more oriented and less alone with what they’ve been carrying. By the end, we’ll have a clearer sense of how we might work together and what next steps make the most sense for you.
