Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with years of experience working in community health, inpatient psychiatry, and integrated primary care.

I have demonstrated expertise working with adolescents and adults from early adulthood through the onset of elderly ages. I have helped to diagnose and treat ailments from the more common conditions like anxiety, depression, and substance use all the way through some of the most difficult types of psychiatric disorders (Delusions, treatment resistant depression, medication resistant psychosis). I especially value working with those who are new to therapy and mental health work and strive to ensure you have a positive first experience.

My approach to therapy

I always work to see, empathize and connect with my clients and provide the best care I know how to offer. Being in therapy is not an admission that there is something wrong or broken with you.

It is a statement that you care about yourself and value yourself highly enough to ask for help healing the pain you have experienced in your life and changing the patterns you have found no longer help you.

The curiosity about the people I work with and the compassion I feel for my clients have been the core of my success.

Although I don’t believe that laughter is the best medicine, I definitely appreciate and incorporate the ability to laugh at life’s absurdities in my work.

What you can expect from me

I always tailor my approach to the needs of my clients, offering techniques from treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Systems Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and more.

I also bring a strong sense of social justice and fairness to my work and outlook on life. I endeavor to practice with humility in a culturally competent way, incorporating anti-racism, LGBTQIA+ support, spirituality, and mindfulness
