Great to meet you!

I'm Brenna, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and founder of Meridian Pointe Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, Inc. With over 10 years of nursing experience working in the field of mental health, I have worked in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, specializing in the care of adult and geriatric populations. I understand the importance of promoting mental health and resilience. I'm committed to delivering holistic care, not only managing symptoms but also improving quality of life and overall well-being. Over the years, I have garnered the respect of patients and colleagues by providing compassionate, person-centered mental health care.

The profession has inspired me because of the ability to help others and make a profound impact on people's lives.

My experience encompasses not only inpatient and outpatient settings, but also serving as a Clinical Nurse Educator in Mental Health for two local universities supporting their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs.

My role as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner has enabled me to provide continuity of care, collaboration, and ongoing comprehensive mental health support within the community.

My approach to therapy

I am committed to providing high-quality, client-centered care that is grounded in respect, collaboration, and compassion. I believe that effective mental health treatment begins with meeting individuals exactly where they are in their journey. Each individual brings unique experiences, strengths, and challenges, and I tailor care to reflect those differences.

My approach is warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. I view treatment as a partnership, working collaboratively with each client to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their goals, values, and needs. Together, we can focus on achieving optimal mental health outcomes through shared decision-making and open communication.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a time to collaborate and develop a supportive partnership. It will be a warm, welcoming, non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe sharing your concerns.

During this first visit, I'll complete a comprehensive evaluation. It gives you time to discuss your current symptoms, history, and goals for treatment. My approach is client-centered and holistic. I focus on treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.

Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, lifestyle recommendations, therapy, or additional supports as needed. You can expect clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and shared decision-making throughout the process.

By the end of the first visit, you'll have a better understanding of your symptoms, an initial plan for care, and goals to help guide your progress.
