Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the founder of Heartloom Therapy, a private practice born out of a desire to expand my support beyond the school setting and create a community haven for families. I earned my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the University at Albany in 2022. Having worked directly within schools, I understand the unique social, emotional, and academic pressures children and families face today. I specialize in helping them navigate anxiety, trauma, and grief so they can thrive at home and in their community.

Additionally, I support parents who notice their own childhood experiences are impacting how they connect with their children. Together, we will focus on reparenting your inner child, allowing you to feel more connected to your true nature and show up authentically for the growing humans in your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is child-centered, creative, and collaborative. Because of my background in the school system, I don't just look at an individual child - I look at the whole family ecosystem and environment. At Heartloom Therapy, I create a warm, non-judgmental space where both parents and children feel seen, integrating play therapy, expressive arts, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Through play and expressive arts, children have the opportunity to explore their emotions, reconnect with their true self, and develop problem-solving skills to navigate life experiences and transitions.

What you can expect from me

Our work begins with an initial assessment that is parent-only. Because you are the leader of your family, our therapist-parent relationship is an essential building block before I begin working with your child. Following that, I meet individually with your child. We will then hold parent consultations every 4–6 weeks to build practical skills that bridge your child's life between therapy, home, and school. I also welcome parent-child sessions for you and your child to understand one another on a deeper level, strengthening communication skills and family relationships.

Please note: I offer In-Person and Telehealth sessions. While Telehealth can be effective for teens and adults seeking mental health support, in-person child therapy sessions are required for children under 12, as they maximize the benefits of play therapy.
