Great to meet you!

Finding the right psychiatric provider can feel difficult, especially when you want to feel heard rather than rushed. I try to create an environment where you can speak openly without feeling judged, and where treatment decisions are made collaboratively.

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience in crisis psychiatry, military medicine, and outpatient mental health care. I primarily work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and more complex psychiatric concerns, while also seeing children age 6 and older for ADHD and mood-related conditions.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, thoughtful, and individualized. I take time to understand your symptoms, history, goals, and concerns before making treatment recommendations, and I want you to understand the reasoning behind each option we discuss.

Medication management is often an important part of treatment, but I do not view care as simply prescribing a medication and moving on. I also incorporate education, practical coping strategies, and ongoing discussion about what is and is not working. My goal is to help you feel informed, comfortable asking questions, and actively involved in decisions about your care.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a 60-minute appointment focused on getting a clear understanding of what you have been experiencing and what you would like help with. We will review your current symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, medications, previous treatments, and any concerns or goals you have for care.

I will share my initial impressions, explain treatment options in straightforward language, and give you time to ask questions. Together, we will develop an initial plan that feels appropriate for your needs and make sure you understand what the next steps will be.
