Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Individual, Marital, and Family Therapist with 25 years of experience. I offer people a unique level of professionalism. In your search for a counselor you have many choices, but few choices that offer you 25 years of experience, most of that in private practice. My counseling journey has taken me through two graduate degrees, hundreds of hours of supervised training, thousands of hours of clinical experience. Over 90% my actual working time is face to face with clients.

My approach to therapy

My counseling approach is highly relational, solution focused, and big picture. It is important to find speedy relief to the issue at hand, but is equally important to deal with the root of the problem. My approach is "big picture" and includes examining the family of origin and the life history of the client in order to provide long term solutions. Client's tell me they appreciate my thoroughness, direct approach, and my shared life experience.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect in the first few sessions to gain a new definition (perspective) of the problem, as well as to begin to see effective solutions to the problem. My own ethical standards demand that I help you make measurable changes. My approach is very informal but very informed. The process is very relaxed and I have been known to use humor which my clients say they appreciate!
