Great to meet you!

I am an Air Force veteran and received my graduate education from The Citadel, specializing in clinical counseling. I was trained to utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, and I've had much experience in counseling individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, as well as substance-use disorders. I also have experience in couple's and family counseling, helping with interpersonal and communication issues.

My approach to therapy

My style is adaptive and can be tailored to your specific needs. I'm capable of being direct and challenging; but also able to be affirming, warm, and flexible. We can approach your problems in a linear and solution-focused way, or we can take a more scenic route and explore different avenues together, searching in a more holistic way.

What you can expect from me

Our goal when first meeting is to establish rapport and trust to ensure that you feel safe and welcome to share details of your life, thoughts, and emotions. We can work together to observe and examine your priorities and areas where you feel stuck. From there we will explore options your mind may not present to you when you are feeling overwhelmed, and choose realistic, achievable goals to help you live the life you want to live.
