Great to meet you!

As Brett Newton, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Coastal Georgia, I offer compassionate and experienced mental health support to individuals and families. My diverse background in school counseling, social work, substance abuse, and mental health allows me to tailor individual, family, and group therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, fostering a positive environment for coping skills, stronger relationships, and resilience.

My professional focus includes ADHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma, with a passion for teens and young adults informed by a decade as a school counselor. Utilizing evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, I help clients overcome negative patterns. I also provide specialized support for grief, substance use, and life transitions, creating a safe space for emotional processing and growth for a diverse clientele, including military veterans and those involved in adoption or foster care.

Furthermore, I work with couples and families, incorporating mindfulness and family systems to improve communication and enhance well-being. Outside of my practice, I enjoy family time, hiking, travel, and sports/video games.

My approach to therapy

Through a warm, welcoming introduction to therapy, I cultivate trust and hope for the therapeutic journey that I maintain through ongoing sessions that incorporate a plethora of therapeutic focuses that accountably moves us towards treat plan outcomes.

What you can expect from me

Client will leave sessions feeling heard, understood, and with unique insights and strategies to address their treatment plan goals.
