Great to meet you!

I’m Brian Agee, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Substance Abuse Counselor in Wisconsin. I work with adults experiencing intense emotions, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and substance use concerns.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago in 2019. Since 2022, I have worked as a therapist at Rogers Behavioral Health, including the past two years in its Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program. My experience includes partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient care, with extensive work supporting people living with borderline personality disorder. Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years in Family Care case management, which helped me understand the everyday challenges that can affect a person’s well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and direct. I aim to help you feel understood while also helping you make changes that matter to you. I draw on DBT skills, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing to help you recognize patterns, manage distress, strengthen relationships, and build more effective coping strategies.

I also have experience supporting clients with trauma-related symptoms through my previous work across treatment programs. My emphasis is on emotional regulation, coping skills, and day-to-day functioning. Together, we’ll identify your priorities and work toward realistic, meaningful goals at a pace that fits your needs.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, relevant background, strengths, and what you hope will change. You’ll also have space to ask questions and share what has or hasn’t helped in the past.

You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out. We’ll begin identifying priorities together and discuss how we might work toward them.
