Great to meet you!

I have over 26 years of experience as a full-time therapist working with individuals and couples. A significant part of my practice focuses on couples who feel stuck in recurring arguments, emotional distance, or hurtful patterns. I help partners slow these cycles down and understand what is happening underneath the conflict so conversations can become safe and productive again.

I also work extensively with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and fears of rejection, abandonment, or feeling unseen. Much of this work involves healing emotional injuries that interfere with a person’s sense of value and worth and helping them develop a more stable and compassionate relationship with themselves.

My training includes approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. Rather than applying one method to everyone, I tailor treatment to the person in front of me so therapy is both supportive and practical.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy focuses on helping people change the patterns that keep repeating in their lives, not just managing symptoms. With over 26 years of full-time clinical experience, I work to understand the deeper beliefs individuals and couples carry about themselves, others, and relationships.

Much of my work centers on self-worth. Many struggles — anxiety, depression, conflict in marriage, and emotional distance — are connected to painful conclusions people have learned about themselves over time. Therapy becomes a place where those beliefs can be understood, challenged, and replaced with a more accurate and compassionate view.

With couples, I help partners move out of blame and defensiveness and instead understand the emotional needs underneath their conflicts. My goal is to create a steady, respectful environment where people feel safe enough to be honest, while also receiving clear guidance and practical tools they can use outside of sessions.

What you can expect from me

My goal in our first session is to understand you as a person, not just your symptoms. I’ll ask thoughtful questions so I can identify what’s keeping you stuck and how we can realistically help you move forward. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable to you, and you won’t be pressured to share anything before you’re ready. By the end of the session, you can expect a clear understanding of what we’re working on, an initial plan for treatment, and at least one practical strategy you can begin using immediately.
