Great to meet you!

I work with thoughtful, introspective adults who feel stuck despite years of trying to understand themselves. They often struggle with anxiety, depression, avoidance, self-criticism, relationship difficulties, or recurring patterns that persist despite insight and effort. Before becoming a therapist, I earned a PhD in philosophy and spent years studying questions of meaning, identity, freedom, and human flourishing. My background often resonates with clients who appreciate a reflective and intellectually engaged approach to therapy. If you find yourself overthinking, disconnected from your emotions, uncertain about what you want, or wrestling with questions of meaning and purpose, therapy can offer a space to understand yourself more deeply and move toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in curiosity. I draw primarily on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and psychodynamic exploration, adapting to what fits you best. Together, we examine the beliefs, emotions, habits, and experiences that shape your life and relationships. Many of my clients have considerable self-awareness but find that insight alone has not led to change. Our work focuses on understanding the patterns that keep you stuck while developing greater emotional awareness, psychological flexibility, and alignment between your values and actions.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another. I'll want to understand what brings you to therapy, what feels painful or stuck, and what you hope for from our work together. We'll begin exploring the patterns and experiences that have shaped your struggles, while also discussing your strengths, values, and the kind of life you want to live. Therapy can offer a space to understand yourself more deeply and move toward meaningful change. If this resonates with where you are right now, I would welcome the chance to connect.
