Great to meet you!

As a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 12 years of experience, I specialize in psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adults across a wide range of mental health conditions. My focus is on helping patients achieve diagnostic clarity, symptom stability, and improved daily functioning through individualized, goal-oriented treatment.

I recognize that seeking psychiatric care can feel like a significant step. I aim to create a supportive, respectful environment where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their care decisions. My approach is grounded in clinical expertise, clear communication, and thoughtful treatment planning tailored to each individual.

I work with adults navigating a variety of psychiatric conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD (with non-stimulant treatment approaches), obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma-related disorders such as PTSD, sleep disorders, PMDD, adjustment disorders, and more complex mood and psychotic disorders when appropriate.

Throughout my career, I have supported individuals at different stages of treatment, from first-time care to ongoing management of chronic conditions, with a primary focus on medication-based treatment strategies.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is centered on structured psychiatric evaluation and evidence-based medication management. I focus on accurate diagnosis, careful medication selection, and ongoing treatment optimization based on clinical response.

I provide comprehensive medication management, including initiation, adjustment, and long-term monitoring of psychiatric medications. This involves close attention to symptom progression, functional improvement, side effects, and adherence, along with laboratory monitoring when clinically indicated to support safe prescribing.

My practice emphasizes clarity and collaboration. I prioritize transparent communication around diagnoses, treatment rationale, and medication options so patients can make informed decisions about their care. While medication management is the foundation of treatment, I may incorporate supportive, focused interventions when appropriate to enhance outcomes and functioning.

I also manage a broad range of psychiatric conditions, including anxiety and mood disorders, bipolar disorder, ADHD (non-stimulant treatment approaches), OCD, trauma-related disorders, sleep disorders, PMDD, adjustment disorders, and more complex presentations such as schizoaffective disorder and other psychotic disorders.

Please note that I provide care exclusively via telepsychiatry and do not prescribe controlled substances.

What you can expect from me

The first visit is focused on completing a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and establishing a clear foundation for treatment. You can expect a structured but conversational appointment where we review your current symptoms, mental health history, prior treatment experiences, and relevant medical background.

We will also discuss what you are currently experiencing, what medications have or have not worked in the past, and what you hope to achieve through treatment. This helps guide diagnostic clarity and informs the development of an individualized treatment plan.

At the conclusion of the evaluation, we will review treatment options and, when appropriate, initiate or adjust medications. Laboratory testing may also be recommended when clinically indicated to support safe and effective prescribing.

The goal of the first session is to establish a clear clinical picture and begin a targeted, evidence-based treatment plan. You do not need to prepare anything in advance beyond sharing your experience openly—this visit is designed to organize information and begin the treatment process in a structured way.
