Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Recovery Peer Specialist and an Army combat veteran. I have extensive experience working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance abuse. My therapeutic philosophy includes an integrative approach and strongly believe in using a “mission-focused mindset” to help veterans and first responders overcome challenges associated with a variety of mental health issues.

My approach to therapy

Due to the complexity of a human being’s experiential reality and biology, I believe that an Integrative approach is beneficial due to the flexibility that an Integrative approach provides. An Integrative approach aims to address the whole person by considering their mental health, physical health, and spirituality in a unified way. Compared to other therapeutic approaches, an Integrative approach combines techniques and ideas from various therapeutic schools of thought to tailor treatment to an individual's unique needs. I also have extensive experience working with veterans and first responders, and use a "mission-focused mindset" to help veterans and first responders overcome challenges associated with a variety of mental health issues.

What you can expect from me

During our first session I ask a lot of questions about your personal life, why you decided to talk with a therapist and what your therapeutic goals are. The first session is also the time where new clients get to interview me.
