Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Brian Evans, a Licensed Professional Counselor and certified hypnotherapist. I specialize in helping adults heal from complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and co-occurring disorders. With a background in both clinical and holistic approaches, I integrate tools like CBT, EMDR, and hypnotherapy to support change on emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. Clients often describe me as grounded, compassionate, and easy to talk to.

My approach to therapy

My approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection and understanding. I use EMDR as my primary method because it helps the brain and body release the emotional charge of past experiences in a gentle, effective way. Along the way, I may integrate mindfulness, parts work (IFS-informed), or hypnotherapy to support nervous system regulation and self-compassion. Every session is tailored to what feels most supportive for you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to slow down and simply be seen. We’ll talk about what brings you in, what you’ve tried, and what you hope to feel instead. There’s no pressure to share everything — we move at your pace. I’ll explain how EMDR and other approaches can help, answer any questions, and begin creating a plan that feels safe, collaborative, and centered around you.
