Great to meet you!

I want my clients to know that therapy with me is a collaborative, nonjudgmental space, where we work together to understand what's getting in the way of feeling better. I believe people are resilient, and with the right support, we can make meaningful change. I'm compassionate but direct and often solution-focused. I tailor my approach to each person – whether that means focusing on concrete tools or creating space for deeper reflection. You don't need to have everything figured out before starting any showing up is enough.

My approach to therapy

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where clients are empowered to explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive environment. My approach is primarily rooted in Rogers’s person-centered therapy, which emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. This helps create a trusting relationship where clients feel valued and understood.

In addition to person-centered therapy, I incorporate elements of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my practice. Through REBT, I help clients identify and challenge irrational beliefs that contribute to emotional distress. CBT aids in addressing negative thought patterns and behaviors, promoting healthier coping strategies. Finally, I utilize DBT techniques to enhance emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness, especially for clients dealing with intense emotions.

Overall, my goal is to tailor my approach to meet each client's unique needs, fostering personal growth and resilience as we work together toward achieving their therapeutic goals.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave each session with a deeper understanding of themselves and their emotions. I strive to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where individuals feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and feelings.

From our sessions, clients can anticipate gaining valuable insights into their patterns of thinking and behavior, as well as practical tools and strategies to manage challenges in their lives. Whether it's learning new coping mechanisms through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or developing emotional regulation skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), my goal is to empower clients to navigate their difficulties with greater confidence and resilience.

Additionally, clients often find that they build a stronger sense of self-worth and self-acceptance, particularly through the principles of person-centered therapy. By working together, clients can expect to cultivate personal growth, improved relationships, and a more fulfilling life.

Ultimately, my aim is for clients to leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped with the skills to make positive changes in their lives.
