Great to meet you!

If you're tired of repeating the same patterns — in your relationships, in your head, in the same argument you've had a hundred times — that's exactly what therapy with me is designed to address.

I work with individuals and couples on anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, PTSD, grief, substance use, and relationship challenges. I'm a male therapist with a particular focus on men's mental health — an area that's underserved and often undersold. For couples, I bring specialized training in Emotion-Focused Therapy and Behavioral Couples Therapy, helping partners work through conflict, distance, and disconnection in concrete, practical ways.

My style is direct and real. Therapy with me doesn't have to feel clinical or intimidating — it just has to feel worth showing up for.

My approach to therapy

My work is practical and present-focused. I draw on CBT to help you catch and shift the thought patterns keeping you stuck, Motivational Interviewing when ambivalence about change is part of the picture, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy to build the space between feeling something and reacting to it.

For couples, I use Emotion-Focused Therapy and Behavioral Couples Therapy — approaches that go beyond communication tips and address the underlying emotional dynamics driving conflict and disconnection. For trauma, I draw on Trauma-Focused CBT and Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy for PTSD, which can involve a partner in the healing process when that's part of what's needed.

I focus on what's actually happening in your life now — and realistic steps to move it forward.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a straightforward conversation. I'll ask what's brought you here, what's been going on, and what you're hoping feels different on the other side of this work.

You don't have to have it figured out before you walk in. We'll get oriented together and start building a plan that actually fits your life — not a generic template. Most people leave the first session feeling a little clearer about where to focus.
