Great to meet you!

I have worked my entire adult life caring for individuals with mental health issues. I have spent over two decades as a psychiatric nurse, and I became a psychiatric nurse practitioner in 2022. I am passionate about helping people improve the quality of their lives and experience the full richness that life has to offer. I care for people struggling with anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and ADHD. My patients describe me as being very authentic in my approach and that this helps us quickly establish a strong rapport.

My approach to therapy

My practice style is one of high collaboration. I do not dictate care, or force treatment decisions. My role is to provide you with detailed treatment options so you can feel empowered to make the best informed decision for you. I believe very strongly in a holistic approach, as true wellness is achieved through many different approaches.

What you can expect from me

I work to create a relaxed, safe and judgement free environment where my patient feels secure enough to share the core distresses in their lives. My patients tell me that I have a warm, friendly and open style. I am not someone who speaks in psychobabble, and my patients enjoy the fact that we engage in real conversations instead of overly clinical analysis. I am an active listener and I am highly conversational and inquisitive. My patients report feeling listed to and cared about after our first session, and they regularly remark about how comfortable they feel talking to me about challenging aspects of their life.
