Great to meet you!

As a native Utahn, I fully understand and appreciate Utah's unique culture. I currently live in Logan with my wife and teenage daughter who is the youngest of my four children. I completed residency training in Psychiatry at the University of Utah and have worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings as well as with all age groups in my 25 years in the field of psychiatry,

A bit about my approach to therapy

I specialize in accurate diagnosis and careful use of medication for mental health disorders. I have valuable experience in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, OCD, ADHD and Schizophrenia and many other conditions. I have additional interest in treating children and adolescents with ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Autism Spectrum, Depression and Anxiety.

What you can expect from our first session

My goals for treatment start with gaining an accurate diagnostic understanding of the mental health condition. Once this is established, the focus is proposing a treatment plan with the most evidence of success in improving functioning . At times , this may involve referral to an alternative provider who specializes in the needed treatment modality.
