Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority. I have over 15 years of experience providing mental health services, including medication management and mindfulness meditation.

Education

  • Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
  • University of Georgia, Athens, GA, Psychology

Experience

I have worked in outpatient clinics, inpatient hospitals, and as an instructor for Seattle University’s Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program.

A bit about my approach to therapy

After your initial evaluation, I will provide you with reliable information about whether a medication is likely to help, its potential risks, and the alternative treatments.

I may recommend a medication, suggest it as a possible option, or conclude that medication is not likely to help you at all.

Although I prescribe psychiatric medications such as antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, and ADHD medications, it does not mean that I believe medications will help everyone.

What you can expect from our first session

We will discuss your lifestyle, such as diet, exercise, alcohol/substance use, and stress-management strategies.

I focus on making behavioral changes that will close the gap between where you are in life and where you want to be.
