Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can be honest without having to have everything figured out first. I’m a therapist who values being real, direct, and compassionate. I’m not here to judge you or tell you what you “should” do. I’m here to help you understand yourself, work through what you’re carrying, and make meaningful changes in your life.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, life transitions, family dynamics, and the sometimes complicated work of figuring out who you are and what you actually want. I especially enjoy working with men, fathers, couples, and people who may have spent a lot of their lives being the person everyone else could depend on.

You don’t have to come to therapy with the perfect words. We can start wherever you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and honest. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, narrative, strengths-based, and emotionally focused techniques, but I don’t believe therapy should feel like a worksheet every week.

I want to understand the bigger picture: what you’re experiencing, where it comes from, how it’s affecting your relationships and everyday life, and what you want to be different.

I’ll listen, but I’ll also challenge you when it’s helpful. Sometimes you need validation. Sometimes you need a different perspective. Sometimes you need someone to help you slow down and actually look at what’s happening. Therapy can be all of those things.

My goal isn’t to make decisions for you. It’s to help you feel more clear, grounded, and equipped to make decisions that align with the life you want.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is really about getting to know each other and understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, what has been difficult lately, and what you hope will be different through therapy.

You don’t need to have your whole story organized before we meet. We can take our time and figure out what feels most important to start with.

I’ll ask questions, listen, and begin helping you connect the dots between what’s happening now and the patterns that may be showing up in your life. We’ll also talk about what you need from therapy and what would make this space feel useful for you.

Most importantly, I want you to leave the first session feeling like, “Okay, I think we can actually work with this.”
