Great to meet you!

Welcome! Your emotional wellness matters—and you don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m Briana Henry, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 104847) and founder of Henry Family Counseling Services, Inc. I provide warm, compassionate telehealth therapy to individuals and families across California, with a focus on the powerful intersection between emotional and physical health.

My practice offers a supportive space for people of all ages and genders, with specialized care for those navigating chronic illness, medical stressors, and women’s health concerns. Whether you are living with a long-term condition, supporting a loved one, or facing complex transitions such as infertility, miscarriage, abortion, postpartum depression, or caregiver burnout—your story is welcome here. These experiences are often carried in silence, and I strive to create a therapeutic space where you feel seen, safe, and supported.

My clinical foundation began with trauma-informed care for children and adolescents, which instilled in me a deep respect for resilience and relational healing. Over time, my personal experiences—navigating my own women’s health journey and parenting a child with a chronic illness—further shaped my approach. I understand firsthand how medical stress can affect every part of life, and I bring both professional knowledge and lived empathy into each session.

At Henry Family Counseling Services, you can expect validation, empathy, and a collaborative relationship built on trust. Whether you’re processing a diagnosis, grieving a loss, balancing caregiving, or simply trying to find your footing again, we’ll work together to help you reconnect with your inner strength and move forward—right from the comfort of your home.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I work from an integrative, evidence-based lens that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused strategies. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all—I meet you where you are, honor your lived experience, and help you develop practical tools aligned with your goals and values.

What you can expect from our first session

Support that Empowers You—Wherever You Are in Your Journey Therapy with me is more than just talking—it's a collaborative space for clarity, healing, and growth. Whether you're navigating chronic illness, processing loss, managing anxiety, or adjusting to a major life transition, our work together will be grounded in empathy, authenticity, and actionable support.

From our sessions, you can expect to:

  • Feel Seen and Heard: Your emotions, experiences, and identity will be honored without judgment. You will be met with warmth, compassion, and curiosity.
  • Gain Practical Tools: Learn coping strategies to manage stress, regulate emotions, navigate relationships, and build resilience—tailored to your lifestyle and values.
  • Understand Yourself More Deeply: Explore how your past and present experiences shape your thoughts, emotions, and patterns—and how you can shift what no longer serves you.
  • Build Confidence in Your Voice and Choices: Therapy is a space to practice setting boundaries, expressing needs, and trusting your intuition.
  • Reconnect with Hope and Possibility: Even in difficult circumstances, healing is possible. Together, we’ll uncover small, meaningful changes that create lasting impact.

Every session is designed to support you—your goals, your pace, and your story. My aim is that you leave each session feeling more grounded, validated, and empowered to face life with clarity and courage.
