Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with over seven years of experience in providing psychotherapy. I earned my PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I specialize in supporting young and middle age adults navigating anxiety, stress, identity-related concerns, life transitions, relationship challenges, and burnout—particularly for Black, Indigenous, or other POC and LGBTQ+ individuals.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you — it’s about helping you reconnect with your strengths and move forward in ways that feel aligned and sustainable. I blend practical tools with deep reflection to help clients build new skills and explore the patterns, relationships, and experiences that shape how they move through the world. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and LGBTQ+ affirming. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more connected to yourself, and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building comfort and trust. You don’t need to come in with everything figured out — we’ll move at a pace that feels supportive and grounded. I place a strong emphasis on listening closely and reflecting back what I’m hearing so we can create shared understanding and a sense of connection. I also pay close attention to the emotions you’re carrying, as they often offer important clues about what feels heavy and where support is most needed. Together, we’ll begin gently exploring what’s been weighing on you and what you’re hoping for from therapy. I encourage clients to leave judgment at the door. I see the therapeutic space as one where curiosity, honesty, and compassion are essential for effective transformation.
