Great to meet you!

As a licensed professional counselor, I believe healing happens best in a collaborative, trusting partnership. I see counseling as a shared journey—where both of us are actively engaged in working toward your goals. You bring your lived experiences, insights, and strengths; I bring my training, tools, and understanding of how people grow, heal, and navigate life’s challenges.

In our work together, I’ll help you explore how your past experiences may be shaping your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors today. I also believe education can be empowering, so I’ll share tools and strategies that support lasting change and help you feel more confident in managing whatever life brings. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and encouraged as you move toward the life you want.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each individual. I take time to understand your unique story by considering several key perspectives—such as your developmental history, family dynamics, trauma experiences, and spiritual background. These lenses help me get a fuller picture of your needs and guide how we work together.

I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches depending on what best supports your goals. These may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused strategies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed skills, psychoeducation, biblical counseling (if desired), and feedback-informed care. My goal is to offer meaningful tools and insights that empower you to grow, heal, and thrive in the areas that matter most to you.

What you can expect from me

I always start with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We’ll work together to figure out the goals that matter most to you. I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable, while also feeling safe and secure. From there, we’ll work together in the sessions that follow to make these goals a reality for you.
