Great to meet you!

I have a background in DBT and am in the process of becoming Linehan certified. While I do not offer comprehensive DBT at this time, DBT is my primary modality. I have received training through the Behavioral Tech Institute and am engaged in consultation to add DBT-PE to my practice. I consider myself to be a direct and challenging therapist at time and strive to prioritize my relationship with my clients to maximize the benefit of our time together. I have a background in crisis and addiction. I look forward to meeting with you!

My approach to therapy

I work primarily from a DBT perspective and will integrate DBT interventions and skills training within individual sessions if you are not enrolled in a skills training group or have familiarity with the skills. I try to balance being direct and challenging with warmth and care.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will include talking about your history, what is bringing you to therapy at this time, and setting goals for treatment. I will likely take the first few sessions to understand you and what is preventing you from reaching your goals.
