Great to meet you!

Welcome! Thank you for visiting my profile. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with more than 20 years of clinical experience, including work in substance abuse treatment, correctional settings, and suicide and crisis intervention. Before becoming a therapist, I was a teacher — and that background shows up in how I work. I'm good at explaining things, helping people understand their own patterns, and making sure we're building something that actually makes sense for your life.

I work with adults and seniors navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship challenges, and women's issues. I provide a safe, non-judgmental and compassionate environment to navigate present and past challenges.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard — the belief that you're already capable of growth and that my job is to create the conditions for it. I draw on CBT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness to add practical tools to that foundation. Goal setting is collaborative: we figure out together what you're working toward and build from there.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about getting to know each other and starting to understand what brings you in. I'll ask questions, listen closely, and get a sense of your strengths and what you're working through. By the end we'll have a clearer picture of what we're building toward and how we'll approach it together.
