Great to meet you!

I feel it is important to establish a welcoming and comfortable environment and develop a collaborative relationship with my clients. I assist people in meeting their goals, finding solutions to their problems and help them create a better life for themselves. I received my MA and doctorate from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.

My approach to therapy

My approach is typically integrative as not everyone benefits from the same type of therapy. Most often I find cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based, interpersonal and motivational interviewing work best. I always alter the treatment approach to ensure the client is receiving the best treatment that matches their needs. Each session is tailored to each individual person and work on empowering them to make beneficial and necessary changes to improve their life.

What you can expect from me

After the initial intake session, we begin to get to know each other better. I know it can be difficult to open up to a complete stranger about their personal lives. So I take the time to build our therapeutic relationship. We also begin working on developing healthy coping skills, self-care and goals that the person would like to achieve.
