Great to meet you!

I am trained as a generalist practitioner, with a focus in trauma work. I specialize in working with loss and grief, substance abuse, identity development, interpersonal relationships (including interpersonal violence), and maternal mental wellness. Outside of my therapy practice, I am a distance runner and avid reader. I enjoy spending time in nature, going on adventures with my partner and children, and creating moments of joy in the kitchen either cooking or baking.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is informed by Adlerian and Constructivist Theories, which understands our experience of the world based subjective and personal perception of self, others, and the world. I believe in using the therapeutic relationship to focus on strengths and assets to empower clients to live emotionally healthy and safe lifestyles. I facilitate a trusting atmosphere to empower, inspire, and challenge. I bring a compassionate and curious approach to my work to meet clients’ needs.

What you can expect from our first session

Therapy is work and the process for each person is unique. During our time together, I will bear witness to your experiences, support and encourage you, and provide you with the tools to change unhealthy and maladaptive thoughts and behaviors, decrease distress, learn more effective ways to respond to challenges, and experience more rewarding interpersonal relationships. We work together to achieve these goals.
