Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Brin, a Licensed Independent Social Worker dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate life’s challenges and build meaningful, lasting change. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bowling Green State University and my Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University.

My clinical experience spans outpatient mental health and substance use treatment, psychiatric hospitals, residential mental health care, and school-based settings. I work with children, adolescents, and adults (ages 6-55) experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder.

My approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapt (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients build practical skills. I look forward to partnering with you to build on your strengths, develop practical tools, and create a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and aligned with your goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized to each client’s needs. I believe therapy is a partnership where we work together to better understand your experiences, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and develop skills to create meaningful change.

I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Through these approaches, I help clients explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while building practical coping skills for managing challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, emotional regulation, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.

I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable ale being their authentic and genuine selves. Whether you are looking to better understand yourself, develop new skills, improve relationships, or navigate difficult seasons of life, I will meet you where you are and support you in working toward your goals.

What you can expect from me

As a client, your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, build rapport, and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We will discuss your current concerns, personal experiences, strengths, and goals for treatment. I will take time to learn about your background and what you hope to gain from therapy while creating a comfortable, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment.

Together, we will identify goals that are meaningful to you and begin developing a plan that fits your needs. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the process of therapy. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and we will work together at a pace that feels appropriate for you.
